How do you see the season playing out? As a resident of Alabama, Im biased to the SEC, but to be honest, I cant see how someone in the conference doesnt play in the title game. Im pretty sure the other team will be USC unless they choke, something for which they are notorious. Im pretty sold on the Trojans, but in the event they choke, MAYBE Oregon, but more likely Oklahoma. The top 3 Heisman finalists will be Matt Barkley, Landry Jones and Marcus Lattimore, provided Lattimore remains healthy. Barkley most likely gets the votes.

Its possible, but Im betting Oregon sputters just a step or two this season. I think USC has their number now.

Just to throw out some dark horses I'm sort of watching out for - Keep an eye on Texas, the defense and RB's are great. David Ash just needs to not lose rather than try to win. Michigan, if they can get past 'Bama in week 1 and OSU in the last week could be a dangerous team. South Carolina has a fairly 'cake' schedule if they can get through the three weeks of hell - Georgia at home, LSU @ Death Valley and UF @ the Swamp. Georgia also has a fairly 'cake' schedule too - only 4 road games and South Carolina may be their toughest opponent.

South Carolina looked ugly last nite. Michigan State put on a great show tonite. Love to see Boise lose. Michigan can not and will not beat Alabama. It just won't happen. I agree on Texas. They could be legit. Would love to see the Red River game be relevant again.

Lots of scoring this weekend. I like high scoring games, but prefer when both teams score. USC looked sharp. Bama came out rolling. Georgia still does not strike me as a top 10 team. My Auburn Tigers gave up. Again.

Is it me or does Virginia Tech always have a slow start? They didn't win tonite, Georgia Tech lost. Played a fairly solid game and fumbled in overtime. What a sickening feeling that has to be.

Week 3 done. Bama rolled hard. Texas still looking strong. USC did what I was afraid they'd do. And my upset of the week played out almost exactly as I predicted with Notre Dame embarrassing Michigan State. Florida State will prove next week whether they deserve their spot. They're averaging 55 points through 3 games and have allowed 3 tiny little points thus far. Better watch them. If they beat Clemson next week, they may be for real this year.
