Since the Wrestlemania 29 travel packages went on sale this week, I thought it would be a good time to start a thread to share useful information about going to Wrestlemania 29. Ticket on sale dates and pre sales, public transportation in NY/NJ, cheap hotels etc. Like every year at Wrestlemania, Indy feds are running shows in the same area to capitalize on all the wrestling fans in town. For Wrestlemania 29, several of these Indys have gotten together to put on shows in one place, the Meadowlands Expo Center. They're calling it WrestleCon www.wrestlecon.com/. Their website has all the info on tickets, which go on sale on September 5th. If you're planning on going, they also have discounts for two major hotels in the area. And here's a tip: I booked a room at the Holiday Inn through their website and I didn't even have to give them my credit card. They confirmed the reservation without it. So if you want to go but don't have the money to pay for a room now, you can book it safely without paying now.

I went to the site and the one name that jumped out for whatever reason was Marty Janetty. Last time I remember seeing him was that awful spot with HBK on Raw when they tagged together. He looked really bad.

I went to 28 in Miami with two of my buddies and we ended up with one of the dreaded palm trees blocking our view. We were pissed off as we ended up watching a majority of the show on the big screen's. We didnt find out until after that if we would've complained to a member of the Sun Life Stadium staff we would've gotten our seats moved (Doh!) closer. Before the show we all agreed that since we live in south jersey that for 29 we'd be getting good tickets and also doing Fan Axxes and the WWE Hall of Fame....now i think we will just settle for decent seats and cut out the other stuff. I have a tough time giving Vince anymore of my money after Miami, especially considering I sent the WWE (fan services) a letter telling them how i've been a fan since 1987 and was unhappy with my WM 28 experience (i included a copy of my ticket as proof of purchase) being we werent warned before hand of the limited visibilty. In return? Nothing. Sry i kinda went off topic lol, i was just really disappointed and its carried over in my opinion of the company since then.

^ I don't blame you mate. Those palm trees were a major design flaw, although I s'pose they absolutely had to make sure that structure could hold the screens + HIAC. I know of several people who had sore necks by the end of the night from looking up at the screens too much! A mistake they'll surely not make again!

I live 15 minutes away from Metlife Stadium in New Jersey. Die hard WWF fan since 1990, and I'm not going to WM. Sorry, but I refuse to give Vince thousands of dollars for a shitty product and what is most likely going to be a shitty WrestleMania. The product just isn't good. I live so close I don't even need to pay for a hotel, but I still won't go. Anyone who gives Vince their money for WM is an idiot, no offense.

According to a sign at Metlife stadium, tickets for Wrestlemania go on sale November 10th. So you've got a couple months to pinch those pennies and clear off some space on the credit card.

It is a hell of a lot of money, but to be fair, even though the product isn't at it's highest point ever, the whole WrestleMania experience is still great and WM28 was a good event... Should have had a longer WHW title match, but good never-the-less.
