Any football fans on here, or soccer to the Americans? What teams do you support? Who will win the English and Spanish leagues this season? The Champions League?

As you can probably tell from the Avatar I'm a Man United fan. Unfortunately I think City are gonna walk the league next season. Not too bothered about La Liga tbh. As for the CL, it could be anyone's if Chelsea's exploits last season are anything to go by.

I'm a supporter of Borussia Dortmund and have a season ticket! In the league we hopefully finish second and in the Champions League I'm only praying for luck

Why only finish 2nd? Dortmund are the best side in Germany, if I were you I'd be disappointed with anything other than the league title!

You have to see where we are coming from: In 2005 we were on the edge of bankruptcy. We following years were very hard for the club and the fans. the championship in was something like a miracle and last year an even bigger one! In Germany Bayern Munich is the best team by far! Just look at their Martinez Transfer, no other club would be able to do such a transfer in Germany. But we have the best team spirit and our coach Jürgen Klopp is beyond awesome So if the season goes on in "normal ways" Munich will win it. If we play again in the champions league last year I'm satisfied.

Hmmm, I wasn't aware of the bankruptcy issue, granted I don't follow the Bundesliga as much as I probably should. I remember being surprised at Dortmund's decline, after all, I was a 7 year old kid watching you beat Juve that year and thinking Lars Ricken was the greatest player in the world! Ah, impressionable youth!
Bayern might have the best squad but their team is full of individual egos- Arjen Robben is by far one of the most selfish players I've ever seen and he wastes so many good opportunities by trying some ridiculous shot when a simple pass or cross would suffice! Other players like Ribery and Gomez go missing in matches and lack effort at times. Plus, I don't see their defense as strong as yours (their fault for axing Hummels!).
Perhaps if Bayern can actually work as a team and develop a team ethic they will win the league this year but I would happily place my stock in Dortmund to win any single given game of football easily more than I would Bayern. Some games, Bayern simply don't show up.
Does the team look like it's missing Kagawa?

Most people outside of Germany aren't aware of our situation at the moment we have 40 million depts. We lowered it in 5 years from 150 million to this, which is amazing when you think of our squad and how it developed in this 5 years! To the Kagawa situation, don't get me wrong when I say, that every team in the world would miss a player like Shinji in their squad! He's such an awesome footballer with a tremendous feeling for the ball. Furthermore Shinji is also an outstanding human being. He seems to be a little bit reserved, but that's his japanese mentality. It took him 2 matches to become a HUGE fan favorite with his own chant (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7fSu2-YGjc). When it was announced that he was leaving for ManU, nearly everbody understood him and thanked him for fantastic two years in Dortmund. It's his boyhood dream to play in England, let him live it. As you can see, we loved Shinji. But we got Marco Reus, a real boy from Dortmund and execellent player, as a replacment so there is no big problem for the team. Our system slightly changed, because Reus is more a striker than Shinji was, but it's allright. As a matter of fact, with Shinji we would have TOO much players for the offensive midfield. Versus Ajax we've played with Reus-Götze-Kuba and players like Perisic, Großkreutz and Leitner were sitting outside! Reus-Kagawa-Götze would have been something like the wet dream of all Dortmund fans

Reus-Kagawa-Götze would be a wet dream for most teams in the world mate! If Lukas Podolski can come into Arsenal like he has and revolutionise our front line, lord only knows what the likes of Reus and Götze could do. I think Reus is a quality player, surprised Bayern didn't go in for him actually.
